Introduction

Project 6. The Urban Form.
|
The 17th south street in Bogotá is a big scale axis. It changes the conditions at specific zones of the street. These points are developed as Urban Equipment Nodes where the street is widen. These nodes correspond to a comerce complement developing a Convention Center through the open space. |

Project 5. Complex Buildings.
|
The workshop final project proposed an abandonned sugar elaboration 'hacienda', as a place to design an eco – turistic project. The client was a peasant cooperative that needed to generate employment and the tourism increase. As a final result, it included bread and yarn workshops as well as cabins, camping zone, open space activities, and administration offices. This work was developed at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México as part of the academic intership program. |

Project 5. Complex Buildings.
|
An abandonned structure in México D.F. is adopted as service building for the patients companion. It involves parkinglots for ambulances and particular vehicles, bus stop, restaurants, communal kitchens, public W.C., and entertainment spaces. The proposal includes a renovation for the urban space through the design of a pedestrian way and a plaza. This work was developed at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México as part of the academic intership program. |

Project 4. The House.
|
The purpose for the project was to provide the user a resting and permanence space in conctrast to his daily experience; flying at the open space. The house also differs from its emplacement for being an orthogonal and modulated, closed and controlled space. |

Project 3. Place, Form and Architecture.
|
The project initial idea turns around a pilgrimage road in ascent. Through the process, it acquires specific geometrical characteristics as a circular plan and the use of radius as limits. The project principal objective, is to generate three kind of sensations with the guideline of introspection and still staying open to landscape. |

Project 2. Tectonics.
|
Between two important high traffic lanes in Bogotá, a full service gas station is developed. There is a high level difference which is very important for the public space origin, as well as for the vehicle route at the interior. The sustainability of the project is manipulated though openings that allows natural lighting and ventilation. |

Project 2. Tectonics.
|
As a first step a concession between three designers is made, in order to define the surface tratment for a high sloped location. Then, an identification of the correspondance between the spiral, the revolutionary dinamism and the ascent allows a form that deals with the problem of the afternoon sun exposure through the use of balconies. |

Proyect 1. Use.
|
At the structure recycling, minimum dimensions related to use are understood. The elements of localization, the approach to the user, and a proposal that respects the previous existant structure is developed. |

|
This final project consolidates the building's different parts understanding process; Cover, Body and Base. At the cover, different levels of light permeability are used. The result shows a public building, composed by different paths and light sensations. |

At this analysis exercise, the three structural systems are taken in consideration in order to define the form and the building’s lighting. The model exercises illustrate each system accomplishment (In terms of light and visual weight), and guide to the final position. The project also allows proximity to the needs realted to the use of the building and its correspondance to specific dimentions. |

The general understanding of the building’s parts, starts by the surface treatment. That is how a place of historical importance is chosen to develop a renovation for public space. The presence of a slope directs the project to a level differenciation problem. |
